3rd Annual Small Business Blitz

United Way would like to thank the small businesses that contributed to the 3rd Annual Small Business Blitz.  United Way Volunteers hit the streets on November 6th asking small businesses to contribute to the small business blitz and receive free advertising.

UWPC partnered with the Pueblo Chieftain, Comcast Spotlight, KCSJ and Express Employment Professionals to promote all small businesses that pledged their support to United Way. Businesses that pledged their support of any amount were included in United Way’s small business advertisement in the Pueblo Chieftain and were included in the United Way Newsletter and website.  Businesses who pledged $50 or more received a 10 percent discount in the Pueblo Chieftain classified section, 50 free commercials with any $500 new or current advertising schedule through Comcast Spotlight and was entered into two drawings to win either 100 free 30-second spots plus production on cable television or eight free hours of staffing from Express Employment Professionals.

United Way would like to thank its sponsors, volunteers and small business supporters for making this event possible.  The small business blitz generated approximately $7,000 which will be allocated to benefit over 91,000 people right here in Pueblo County through the programs we fund.
