United Way of Pueblo County annually brings the community together to share in the excitement of kicking off the organization’s fundraising campaign and encourages the camaraderie of participating companies and individuals in attendance and the community at-large.
For the 98th Annual Campaign Kickoff, a revised hybrid event will be held with a small VIP in-person component and majority of attendees accessing the livestream of the in-person event. The event will feature the announcement of the 2020 Campaign Chair, a fundraising component to serve as first dollars in, and a comedy bit performed by the one and only Craig Eliot Cisney to provide some much-needed laughs. The livestream link can be shared to be watched simultaneously in a watch party format or with a group of socially distanced friends and co-workers.
“We are encouraging those watching remotely, to plan ahead and order a bite to eat and something to sip on from our Flavor of Pueblo partners,” stated United Way Director of Marketing, Events & Initiatives Bianca Hicks. “This industry has been hit hard during the pandemic. We’re hoping to shine a light on them, their delicious food and drinks, and all they do in support of our community.”
The 98th Annual Campaign Kickoff will take place Wednesday, September 30 at 6:00pm. No cost, livestream registration and a listing of Flavor of Pueblo partners is available at: www.pueblounitedway.org/kickoff. Upon registration an email confirmation will be sent with page link to where the event will air. Registrants will also receive event reminders.
A donation option is available for interested parties. All contributions made to the 98th Annual Campaign Kickoff benefit the Cornerstone Partner Fund. Cornerstone Partners help strengthen the campaign by offsetting operational costs and reducing the percentage of these costs through their gifts. This support allows additional contributions to go further in directly propelling programmatic support and incentivizes others to give to the work of United Way of Pueblo County.
