Drive-Thru Food Drive Planned on November 20

United Way of Pueblo County, KPHT 95.5 and Little Caesars will hold the annual Thanks-for-Giving Food Drive this Friday, November 20 in a fully drive-thru format due to concerns with COVID-19.

The drive will be held in the Little Caesars parking lot at 1175 S. Prairie Ave, Pueblo from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Donors will be required to remain in their cars, wear masks when interacting with staff and volunteers, and have food donations placed in their trunks or in easily accessible areas to avoid person-to-person contact.

Thanksgiving dinner type items are sought. Donations will be kept local and provided through Pueblo Cooperative Care Center for those in need this holiday season. All donors will receive a certificate for a free slice of Little Caesars pizza; donors of a turkey or ham will also receive a special Cooperative Care Center flashlight.

“This is what Thanksgiving is all about, remembering what we are grateful for and extending that gratitude to others,” stated KPHT 95.5 Pueblo’s Greatest Hits Pueblo Program Manager Nick Donovan. “We enjoy giving back in support of our community of Pueblo.”

“No one should face having no food on the table this holiday season,” said United Way of Pueblo County President/CEO Shanna M. Farmer. “We, at United Way, are honored to be able to be a small part of the incredible community partners working to combat these concerns during the holidays and every day.”
