GRANT OPPORTUNITIES AND INFORMATIONAL ZOOM SESSION FOR LOCAL NONPROFITS

United Way of Pueblo County Announces Community Investment Grant Opportunities and Zoom Informational Session, Friday, February 3

PUEBLO - United Way of Pueblo County (UWPC) is pleased to announce the availability of two open grant opportunities for Pueblo County nonprofit organizations. Local nonprofits are encouraged to apply for funds within UWPC’s four service priority areas:  Economic Mobility and Opportunity, Youth Success, Crisis Intervention, and Nonprofit Capacity Development.

The power behind United Way’s work is driven by community-wide collaboration to improve outcomes for those in need. UWPC relies on hundreds of committed volunteers and donors each year to help solve the most critical local issues by supporting the efforts of health and human service agencies. Knowledgeable volunteers are also dedicated to ensuring good stewardship of funds. 

Two grant opportunities are available for Pueblo County nonprofits, and the deadline to apply is Saturday, March 4 at 11:59 p.m.

Community Impact Grant

  • Grant funds available to any nonprofit in Pueblo County meeting a critical community need not currently funded by United Way.  Any nonprofit agency with a 501(c)3 IRS designation may apply.
  • Qualifying programs address a pressing, unmet need that can demonstrate a significant, measurable impact in one of United Way’s four service priority areas: Economic Mobility and Opportunity, Youth Success, Crisis Intervention, or Nonprofit Capacity Development. Range: $2,500 - $20,000.

El Pomar Foundation Community Problem Solving (CPS) Grant

  • Focuses on funding direct service for basic needs: food, shelter, utilities, etc. for the homeless and indigent.

A United Way of Pueblo County Community Investments Informational Zoom Session will be held on Friday, February 3 at 1:30 p.m. and is open to the community. Attendance is not mandatory to apply; however, prospective grantees are encouraged to join to have any questions answered and to hear detailed information about request suggestions, insights, and partnership specifics. If unable to attend, the session will be posted on the funding opportunities webpage following the event.
